DEFINITION
Archival framing – is the framing process employ only archival framing materials (matboard, backing board, tapes …) and archival framing techniques (hinging, mounting …).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
COMPARISON
The differences between archival framing and non-archival framing.
Archival materials help protect the artwork better, in other words, it prevents yellowing process, color degeneration and acid migration.
In VG-Lab, we use archival materials from LINECO ( USA).
The biggest advantage of archival framing is the longevity of the framed package, its aesthetic remains for longer time compared cheaper framing method (The longevity of the frame depends on the chosen framing levels – see below).
